Buya (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This notice explains what we collect when you use buya.be, why we collect it, and how we look after it — in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect
- Waiting list: name and email.
- Fridge trailer / event requests: name, event date, event type, location, and phone number.
- Technical: basic server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, time) needed to run and secure the site.
- Cookies: essential preferences only unless you consent to more. See the on-site cookie notice.
Why we use it
We use your details only for Buya launch communication, waitlist access, and to respond to partnership or booking requests. We do not sell your personal information.
Lawful basis
Processing is based on your consent when you submit a form, and on our legitimate interest in securing the site and answering enquiries you initiate.
How long we keep it
Lead records are kept for as long as needed for the launch and related follow-up, then deleted or anonymised when no longer required — unless a longer period is required by law.
Sharing
We may use trusted service providers (hosting, email delivery) who process data only on our instructions. We do not share waitlist or rental leads for unrelated marketing.
Your rights under POPIA
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or withdraw consent for marketing, by emailing cominghome@buya.be. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
Security
Form submissions are stored on secured server storage with web access to lead files denied. No method of transmission is perfectly secure; we take reasonable organisational and technical steps to protect your data.

We may update this page as the brand and systems grow. The effective date above will change when we do.
